Delaware North Business Intelligence Manager, Labor in Buffalo, New York

The Opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a Business Intelligence Manager to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As Business Intelligence Manager, you will be responsible for enhancing labor efficiency and effectiveness across the organization while identifying key opportunities for labor optimization.

This role will be hybrid, based out of our headquarters in Buffalo, NY.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $81900 - $110600 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor labor optimization metricsand assist in the implementation of solutions

  • Execute strategies to identify and prioritize labor optimization opportunities while establishing standardized labor standards across operations

  • Manage a team of analysts to ensure best practices in labor optimization reporting and analytics

  • Collaborate with vendors to implement labor optimization technology solutions for operational use

  • Provide support to operations and finance in enhancing labor cost budgeting and review processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related is required, a master’s is preferred

  • 5+ years of professional experience working in quantitative/data analyst roles with strong background in labor analytics

  • Expert level knowledge or very high proficiency with Tableau with prior experience working with Tableau data model, scheduling, and automation

  • Significant experience in data extraction & transformation, relational databases & SQL; strong experience with UKG data hub structure and SQL framework; time-series forecast modeling experience (ARIMA, SARIMA)

  • Fundamental understanding of labor metrics, union labor and event-based workforce nuances

  • Demonstrated business acumen for the hospitality, gaming or entertainment industries with strong understanding of the fundamental key performance indicators

  • Comfort in articulating complex information and analyses to a variety of audiences

  • Strength in critical thinking, problem solving, and written and verbal communication. Comfort in articulating complex information and analyses to a variety of audiences

  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to quickly learn relevant database applications and software.

  • Ability to effectively interact with and influence key stakeholders, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines while consistently delivering accurate and high-quality work.
